What headers do you guys recommend on a stock LT5? Only mods are a Haibeck chip, 4:10 rear end and Borla exhaust. 7796

Im running OBX. The build quality is excellent, they are a copy of the Stainless Works, tho a touch shorter. For the money they can’t be beat. You may give up a hp or two. If money is no object Stainless Works is the way to go.

Stainless Works Headers and Exhaust on a 1990 and 1991 ZR-1 (LT5) and one 1990 Standard Corvette (L98). The Stainless Works Headers/Exhaust fit perfectly on all three.

OBX here. No complaints, except they are made in China.
I hear somebody has the pattern for the Jeal headers.

i just picked my z up and it already had headers on it. I think they are obx by looking at how the stainless looks. I had a set on my 350z and looked the same color wise. anyways
i belive obx.
My prior Z had OBX. Hands down the best option for the money out there. Full length header with 2" primaries into a 3" collector.
Why pay 2x the amount for a header?

I have Watson Headers (NLA except used).. I have had them with Borla, Corsa and now LT4 (OEM) exhaust systems..
I liked Borla, but it had a slight drone, Corsa had no Drone, sounded fine on part throttle, but WOT is Screamed, which was not to my liking)
I now have the LT4 system, it is quiet and actually sometimes too quiet. I still have my Corsa if I choose to swap back

I have OBX headers and thought they were a very good deal.
I have no gap between my steering shaft and the header. I can see where it has been rubbing. I'm not overly concerned about it. I don't know if this clearance issue is unique to OBX headers, or to my specific car.

Mine would be the same way. Except they clearenced( dented) the pipe by the steering shaft to clear. So I would imagine that all obx headers prob fit that way.

M. Haibeck recommends, sells and installs Stainless Works. They are not cheap, but my set is 12 yrs old and still look great. They dip coat the headers in ceramic so even the inside gets coated (that's what I was told).
