I was just watching a YouTube clip describing the new Ford Mustang GT, while it was doing some hot laps on some track.

At the end of the clip, the comment was made: "If you want one of these cars, maybe you better act fast. Because, Ford has made the decision to stop production on all sedans and focus on producing only trucks and SUVs".

I heard about Ford discontinuing production on sedans (BIG MISTAKE?), but I didn't think the Mustang was included in the producion halt...was it??

No. It is said that the decision has been made to stop selling all cars in North America, EXCEPT for the Mustang and the Focus Active. Who knows if it will actually happen. Seems pretty silly to me, especially if there's another gas crunch.

Ford is getting rid of all but two of their normal production cars.

To my knowledge not true. While Ford did make the decision to stop selling passenger cars in the US, they announced that the Mustang will be the exception and will be retained. The Ford Active will also be retained, It’s really more of a crossover CUV.
