View Full Version : Power Key Switch Attachment

I left the power key in the switch when I took it to the detailers and they must have knocked into it because the switch got pushed into the console.
I'm having a bear of a time finding out how the power switch is attached to the information center panel/bezel. (I know, I know, I should just pull the panel off and look.) Also, assuming the attachment is broken, I haven't had any luck locating a ZR1 specific replacement. Plenty seem to be available for the stock C4.

Any information about this would be appreciated.

It should be retained by a couple screws behind the bezel. If they pushed it in the entire key module has been torn away from the back side of the bezel. NLA from GM maybe somebody has a spare on here but expected to pay a high price due to the deluso rubberized coating which tends to get gummy, scratches easily making "quality" used bezels that have not been drilled by the original owners with LEDs for after market alarm systems and cut and filed for after market radios.
I suggest pulling the bezel and looking behind to see if there is any damage than can be repaired before moving forward. It possible only one screw came away from the back side.

That's a 90 bezel only Cliff the 91s and up have the power module and it's retained with two screws. Cliff you can save these for the image library of this NOS unit from my parts crib. GC

Bezels for 90 and 91 turn up pretty regularly on eBay. The later cars are tough finds, especially 94 and 95. Best bet is to find a part-out someone picked up from an IAAI auction.
