Disconnect the wires and hook them together.
Do a good job on the connection... insulate it well...
Much easier than screwing around trying to replace the switch....

There r several wires where the switch harness plugs in. Which ones?

You may be looking at the wrong switch?
Per 8A Electrical Diagnosis Service Manual Supplement,
schematic 8A-30-0 it looks like a switch with only two 5 gauge
wires, yellow/black and purple
I did mine years ago and can't remember exactly, but it's under
the dash, a pain in the butt to replace and the 2 wires are fat (5 gauge)
The switch handles a lot of amps subject to arcing, so the contacts crap out

Bypassing that nanny switch isn't a problem for most of gray-haired ZR-1 drivers. We learned in Driver's Ed that one ALWAYS puts the car in neutral and mashes the clutch BEFORE turning the key.

That said, the arching issue that destroys that nanny switch was addressed in 93+ ZR-1s when the switch activated a (heavy duty 'isolation') relay, thus removing the heavy load from the switch.

However, to preserve the nanny switch operation on the 90-92s, the pre-93s can be easily be modded with such an isolation relay. See Cliff's SOLUTIONS sticky for details!
