Aha! It was that video where I had seen the use of BBQ paint for the black lettering on the plenum. I had previously commented in another thread that I thought that was the case. Nice to have a reference for it. --Bob

Yes, and do you know who has the metal stencil (engine paint overspray protector) for that?
None other than Doug Rippie! He showed it to me on a visit to his shop last summer.

You mean this one? What we need to do is borrow it and have it scanned. Then have it reproduced in a 3D printer. Any volunteers?

A well written article. In fact, I like his writing better that his drawings, which don't enhance the exotic nature of the LT5. Still the best looking Chevy engine EVER. :thumbsup:
