I thought this would be easy to find, but it seems that the ZR-1 emblem is unique.
Many vendors offer one that looks close, but the letters are not the same. Black letters/white background.
Anyone out there have a NOS one?

Good luck,I’ve been looking for one for awhile now. I’ve seen every color including 1994 Copper Metallic,a color that was never released but I’ve never seen a white emblem. 1990 is one year only and 91-95 should be the same.

Are you looking for the "ZR-1" emblem or the "CORVETTE" emblem? If it's the former, they're on eBay...

The CORVETTE one, I might try re-painting the old one if I can't find one.

I was looking at a new ZR-1 emblem for the back bumper too. I've always thought the original was cheezy looking. I think the one designed for black cars is better. It's got a gun metal background and black letters. I prefer it on a white car. I'll post a pic when I put it on.

Is a repop an option?

I was under the impression that base models switched to the embossed bumper cover logo and ZR1s continued with the previous style emblem. Meaning, there is no such thing as a 1991 specific emblem.

The 'base' '91+ doesn't have a C O R V E T T E emblem BUT there's much difference in '90 and earlier emblems and the '91+ C O R V E T T E emblem. I had a '90 owner confirm his was a match to mine and '90 emblems are 12 1/4" +/- in length where as the '91+ is 15+ inches.

A '91 - '95 WHITE might be the only emblem that remained consistent from '91 to end of production.

*** Code 75 (BRM) seems consistent '91 to end of production also.

I believe the 90 was the same emblem for all C4s from 84-90 and in 91 the font was changed. One thing that’s odd is the font on the cam covers and steering wheel is the 90 font on all the cars throughout 95.

I haven't taken the 91' emblem off yet. Are there holes?

If there are holes for mounting, can I easily plug them? We're going to respray the bumper next week anyway. :dontknow:

I do believe there are holes in the bumper but not exactly sure,I’ll have to take a look at one I have at home in a few hours.

The cover is 'pierced' and NO you can't easily plug them. There are 3 'pierced' holes.

Some letters got a little more round, others got a little more square. I looked it up last night as I'd never noticed the difference. Size change of a couple inches in length and maybe just a bit in height.

Yes there are holes, but both emblems cover all the holes.. I had a 90 emblem on my 90, now I have a later (bigger one)

On a slightly separate note, there are 35u ZR1 emblems, but 35u yellow doesn't appear on the color/production number list, only 53u competition yellow. Were no cars made in that color?

It looks like any yellow car in 91 or 92 would have been 35u not 53u, but all yellow c4's prior to 90 were 35u yellow.

'91 and '92 should be 35U (WA8769) cars.

53U (WA9804) returned in '93.

Someone should change that on the main pages info/gen./color info chart.

Well, it looks like I'll have to re-spray it. Which will be a lot easier once I get it off.
If anyone spots a NOS one for sale, let me know.

Thanks.
