I need some support from one of my Brothers.

Does anyone live close to Ye Olde Wheel shop? Or, have contact information other than (410) 796-8400

They have my OZ wheels for the Purple Callaway, the phone number I have has been disconnected.
If you are close and can run there I would greatly appreciate it.

I was considering carrying a set of wheels to John 'next week'. I had considered calling this AM but didn't get to it. I'd like to think John is still doing wheels. The last set I had there I'm quite sure it was his Son that helped me. Not real sure - it's been many years.

Watching with interest. I have a set of Gen II Dymags I’d like to have refinished one day. They used to be the go-to shop.

I've never had a 'bad experience' there - nice folks!

The experience has been exhausting, I was told the wheels would be done in 4-6 weeks before I shipped them, After talking with John son, I was promised they would be done 4/6/2018. Now the phone is disconnected. According to Fed Ex wheels were delivered on Feb 6th, so it has been 8 1/2 weeks.

Robert, your wheels are in good shape. Reason for delay was the cold weather in Maryland (can't paint). They have been having phone issues with Verizon for the last 3 years. They are in a old section of town and Verizon will not replace old system, just puts a patch on it. The number you have is good.
I have attached photos of your wheels. They will be assembled this Monday and then they need a few days to check for good sealing and then ship back to you by end of the week.
A few corrections: The address is 6363 not 6365. Dan is the owner and his son is also Dan. I do not think they are around much. John is the one who is at the shop everyday and is in charge. I was with John this morning when they opened at 0900. John gave me his personal email and I will PM it to you.

Charlie,
You are still the man!

Folks 'round here think I'm crazy (which I may be) for liking these cars the way I do. Like our old friends always said: "it's not the cars...it's the people".

Thanks Ted....this group is a true brotherhood. I do not have the mechanical skills as others in this group so when I have an opportunity to lend a hand and contribute, it is indeed my pleasure.

Demps, if it wasn't for this group I would have sold my Z's Years ago. Okay Maybe not the Aerobody.

The Brotherhood of the Beast is truly the strength of these incredible machines.

WOW, I knew they did great work, I stole the idea of polished barrels from Dennis.

Good to know 'the boys' are still at it. Every time I've been there I need to do a 'walk around' and check the inventory. Some very interesting wheels around. I haven't been there in maybe 10 years.

Without a heated booth there isn't any paint going on.

Was John's wife there today? I assumed wife - never thought to ask. I'm quite sure it was John's Son I spoke to last time I was there and dropped off. Maybe I'll visit and ask.

I had an interesting experience there once. I had a single A-mold a 'tire boy' had scuffed(not curb rash), only scuffed and John asked where the other 3 were. He wanted to flange match the entire set vs just clean up one flange. I gave him all 4 to do.

I have been looking for a set of Gen II dymags for my Grand Sport. If you are ever interested in selling or trading the Gen II please let me know.

Great support Charlie!

Robert, how did you decide paint code & color. I have a set of Gen 1 Dymags that I'm choosing possible color for.
1. Corvette Sebring Silver
2. A-mold Silver
3. Dymag Argent Silver
4. PVD chrome wheel coating
Body color is '96 CE, A-mold paint is dazzling when new, Argent seems too flat, the PVD is a cloudy chrome.

The 18" OZ Futura's I recently picked up also have a nice silver color and durable finish for 20 years old.

Do you know Steve Horton? Steve has a very nice set of Dymag Series 1 that Ye Ole did for him. Damn nice and actually i believe duplicated the original. If the car is WA9021/13 that's an interesting thought. It might make them a 'hard sell' if you thought you might ever want to.
