Looking for a nice core with side shafts to build a 4.10
Prefer to keep my low mileage unit intact.
A recycler near me has one but he won't get around to pulling it for a few weeks so though I would check with you guys to see if you know of one with known history, no cracks, etc.
Thanks,
Roger

Yes, that is the guy I have been talking to. He already sold Johnny5's rear.
He only has a 120k miler from a car with front end damage. He said he is not going to bring it inside and start taking it apart for another few weeks. He is about 1.5 hrs from me so he is my backup plan.
Thanks,
Roger

I can't believe George lives only 20 miles from me.
Unfortunately his rear is a 4.56 and I am looking to build a 4.10. It is low mileage, freshly set up and fairly priced but it wouldn't be cost effective for me to use it as a core.
My backup plan is Vettepros in Charlotte. They have a '94 diff from a C4 that was not wrecked, just engine damage. My son is passing through there next week on business and can pick it up for me. Not sure when I can get it from him though...

Is your 4.56 a Super 44 build or an earlier build using a D44 and specialty bearings/sleeves etc. A quick check would be the size of the pinion nut.
An earlier build using D44 stuff would have a 1 1/8 hex and a Super 44 'vette/viper/C4 despite what folks think is actually spec'd at 1 9/32.
There might be an interested fellow here in the Eastern Panhandle of WV interested.

It's a super 44. I am very familiar with what you are talking about. This is not junk.
Thanks, George

Wasn't implying 'junk' - I've bought/sold a couple very good very early builds with the sleeves and a D44. One was 'beat on' quite regularly and took every thing it was dealt! That was a 3.90 build.
Dropped you a PM!
