I can believe it. I see a guy on Ebay with his ZR1 convertible scheduled to be built this month will sell it when it arrives for $50,000 over the cost of the car..
"SO YOU WILL BE PAYING $136,215 PLUS $2100 PLUS $50,000........"
Any takers here?

I agree with you guys. I like mine better too. It is more special to me.
Not just the latest toy with yet more boost, or more fuel and air applied. Oh, I wouldn't mind having one, but the Lotus designed, Mercury Marine assembled, GM developed "uber Vette" is the one that stirs my soul. And when that one arrived, it really was the major leap forward.

Remember our ZR-1’s were marked up over $100K for the 1990’s!

Sounds like ya gonna do Museum Delivery too?
I can drive it home for ya?
And, you can keep it in my garage so Terry won't see it 😋
OBTW: you better sell a bunch of pumps....

I am not sure how many were sold at the "Premium". I bought one for MSRP and know of a few more that went for that. Later on you could pick them up at a discount.
I took a pretty good bath on mine after driving it a couple of years, but nothing like the one's that paid the premium took or will take if they decide to sell.

Remember, $66,000 in 1994 is equivelant to $110,381 in today's dollars.
In October 91, I bought a brand new 91z for $47,000 - about $18,000 off the sticker. The dealer, Sports Chevrolet in Silver Spring, Md., was eager to get this car out of the showroom since 92 base vettes with 300 hp LT1s were expected soon.

5k to build your own motor is nuts but Id probably do it just for the cool factor.
Yet this engine is just another LS Tupperware motor.

The $5k probably goes to the UAW,
not in GM's pocket...

If I'm gonna dream, might as well dream all the way.
I'd be thrilled if I could keep it at your house, as long as you don't mind taking it out once in a while to keep the oils moving.
