Hello All. Thanks to this forum I was able to find the parts needed to fix my ZR1 94, including some impossible to find parts. Thanks to all who helped out!!!

I am running into a problem with my insurance company, they don't want to pay for the rear mouldings (plus a few other items) which were impossible to find and are basically holding the car hostage. I got a speal from them that they know a fabricator who can reproduce the mouldings. Now, you are probably thinking what I thought but I won't go there right now.

I am wondering though if any ZR1 owners have ever heard of any after market outfits who fabricate such pieces? Also, what recourse do I have if they refuse to pay up? (there are other items such as broken rocker panel and weatherstrip which had to be replaced when the rear surround was removed that they don't want to pay for).

ps. Can't wait to get the car back (it has been in the shop since Nov!!!!!! )
Thanks to all!!!

Get the details of the fabricator and cut a deal to reproduce some spares ;)

Sadly, it sounds to me like typical insurance company bull:censored:

Maybe I can tell insurance I will pull the moulding off and sell it and give the money to the fabricator:mrgreen:

I spun out on a wet road and guardrailed my rear on the way back from BG 05
I had to find and furnish 3 pieces of moulding to the repair shop. State Farm payed me through the repair shop for the mouldings and freight charges.

Sounds like almost identical accident to mine except no wet road...went from pavement to bad dirt in a hurry.

Wish I had State Farm. Thanks for the info.

Here is an update. The insuarnce company will now pay for everything but the moulding (which they say can be fabricated har har).

Well I will have to file a complaint. The insurance company is GEICO. My mistake should have not put a ZR1 on with this company which handles my other cars.

I was considering Haggarty anybody have any good experience withthem? Thanks!!
