A renewed member with a question about a vin

I was a member years ago when I had a 91 ZRi...moved on with different models of Corvettes. Anyway, looks like I am about to own another 91 ZR1...just wondering if anyone might have any information on the VIN: 1G1YZ23J2M5801958.....car should be coming thru Mecum. Was supposed purchased from McDorman dealership. Allegedly an 8,000 mile car.

The 'pay to play' vin searches revealed nothing to speak of....anyway, whatever info someone may have would be appreciated.

Your note shows vin # 958 whereas mine is 1958...hope it's a typo!

Good to see you made it over here. I checked the resgistry listings and 1991 #1958 is not listed. Which probably means someone bought it back in the day, kept it stashed away, didn’t drive it much and wasn’t particularly into it. Have you done a Carfax to see how many owners it had? Sounds like it may be one that hasn’t surfaced in the ZR-1 community yet.

I’m sure others will chime in if info is available.

OP - at one time I believe a fellow in ID owned both 1958 and 1959 for '91 or at least that's what some old Registry info shows BUT ironically in the older Registry info both were shown as Black/Saddle so a mistake then and maybe really only 'one' car or what.................................
