2018 C7 production Engines


LT1= GEN 5 SBC
455hp @ 6000rpm with standard exhaust
460lb/ft @ 4600rpm with standard exhaust
or
460hp @ 6000rpm with performance exhaust
465lb/ft torque @ 4600rpm with performance exhaust


6.2 liters Direct Injection 11.5:1 c/r with AFM(Active Fuel Management-in 2014 AFM a GM first using a manual trans- previously only the auto trans equipped 2010-2015 Camaro got AFM as part of the 400hp @5,900 rpm/410 lb/ft torque @ 4,300rpm with the L99 GEN-4 V8 engine.


LT4-GEN 5 SBC with direct injection and intercooled 1.7 liter supercharger spun to 21,500rpm to supply 9.2 psi of cool boost bolstering the high(for a forced inducted engine) 10.0:1 compression
(For comparison the GEN 4 LS9 from the C6 ZR1 spun its larger 2.3 liter blower at approx. 15080rpm making 9.4 psi boost on a 9.1:1 c/r)

650lb/ft torque@ 3600rpm


2018 C7 Corvette Production Dates
There were a total of 9,686 built, the lowest production since 1959.
C7s were built from June 5th, 2017 though July 31 2017, then there was a 13 week shutdown, production restarted in November 2017 and will cease again January 26, 2018.

3068 Stingray Coupes 31.7%
735 Stingray Covert. 7.6%
2,569 Grand Sport Coupes 26.5%
512 Grand Sport Covert. 5.3%
2,353 ZO6 Coupes 24.3%
449 ZO6 Covert. 4.6%


Across the board, the take-rate on the 8-speed automatic transmission was 78%. For Z06, 72.1% of buyers selected the 8-speed automatic.


If you wanted a rare 2018 C7, a GS Carbon 65 Convertible with the J57 ceramic brakes(without ZO7), of which only 2 cars were built. There were 5 2018 GS Carbon 65 Convertibles with the ZO7 package, making that options list the 2nd most rare.

Do you want to talk about the C7 2019 755hp/715 lb/ft torque ZR1 or the C8 "Emperor" Mid engine car?
Or both?
There certainly are some exciting things coming for both the C7(until 2021/2022) and C8.
