Ad says not for complete sale. This was Johhny5's car. I watched it on IAAI until it went to live bid. It was either $4900 or $4500 bid on it before the live auction began.
Sad to see another one gone :(

Used to chat with John over the phone about his Z.....Ok,so your saying this car was up for auction? If so, apparently by the insurance company...

So now it looks like who ever got this car is selling the parts....Does anyone know what it sold for ? Was it 4,500,4,900 if that figure?

That car was in great running condition....Top end ported along with a fidanza....

If in fact that car did sell for under five grand, that's a steal...I would imagine the motor is worth that alone, maybe more....Interior and doors are worth a decent amount also I would imagine...

I am sure it went quite a nut higher. That was the prebid before the live auction.
Lots of great parts available.

How did he manage to take out both rear corners?
One I could understand, but both?

He was cut off on the highway and hit the guardrail and spun. I understand the insurance company offered the car to him for $4000 or $4500 (I think he had posed it up) but then added $2000 for storage fees.

Just bought the complete 35k mile engine/trans out of this car. It was listed on eBay. Negotiated a sweet deal including shipping off line from eBay. It comes with a number of things I won’t be needing including the trans. I’ll be selling off that and parting out the current 90 engine in a few weeks. Stay tuned.

Yeah, came to the conclusion the existing engine will need oil rings. This way I just about get a fresh start for everything. Selling off of the parts I won’t be using and the old engine will recoup some of the costs. The old engine is really solid (other than the oil rings) considerable maintenance work had been done by PO and by myself.

Old block could be a great donor for a Greekenstein 390.

I only bought the engine/trans from the 91’ and will be selling off parts I don’t need like the transmission. Will also be selling the complete 90’ engine. Either complete or in parts. Sorry no tpms sensors. This is what I bought and gives some idea of what will be sold either from the 91’ or the 90.

Hans,
You have a brand new Hurst short shifter and new Fidanza flywheel in the 91. Wazoo did the install in MD the day before he had the wreck.

Would love to meet the rest of the Wazoo crowd on your next maintenance day.....Thinking of May be going with a sprung hub disc to mitigate some of my fidanza noise..I will bring beer and cold cuts....👍👍

I saw that. The Fidanza will be retained. The trans and shifter will be sold. I believe it had a ported plenum and IH too. Did the motor have any other work done?
