I’d like to see that too. I did see a few months back that AutoZone was carrying
tailight bulbs for durectional and brake lights. They were $20each. With Euro lamps, that’s $160.

I did a replacement bulb - brighter than the incadescents but the improvement did not look that dramatic to me.

Folks did this on the earlier C4 with the round taillights and it looks like a clown nose with a bright center dot as it did not diffuse the light well. If it was to be done again I would suggest using a RED LED replacement blub to resolve this problem. I am happy with my LED taillights that are in the whole housing so this is a mod that I will not be doing. GC

Now if they were to do the whole LED housing in the EURO set up I would like to see that

I have aftermarket LED tail lights, but was curious on the replacement bulb.. Davekp, if it was equal to OEM that is a good thing, but my concern was if there was a bright spot in the center

that's what I was trying to say. However maybe with a red LED replacement that bright dot might go away and be better diffused. I also remember what you have -=JEFF=- as mine are similar but have more individual LEDs that make that kinda cross pattern

Yes, I get it, but you were talking about the round lights.. If I could I would swap the red lenses on my lights and OEM to try, as the LED ones I have are a bit more orange than the OEM lenses.

As you can tell, getting stir crazy..

Here is a picture of something I was playing around with trying to see if I could do a halo.. the main bulb was a Amber or white (all I had) but the center of the lens has a bright spot.

I didn't notice any bright spot. Looks to me like OEM, but slightly brighter.

There's a dude on facebook that will build angel eye tails pretty cheap, I'll see if I can find the pics. I know I'm a little off subject

I changed over the tail lights to LED using these replacement bulbs bought on Amazon.

JDM ASTAR Extremely Bright PX Chipsets 1157 2057 2357 7528 LED Bulbs

When they say bright they mean it, while the pictures show mostly white the actual colors are more red and amber, they are even brighter when the brake light are on. The only extra part you need is an led flasher which I got on e-bay.

Truth-be-know, Jeff, I thought your "old" LED tail lights looked marginally better (but good!) than filament bulbs - just not so much better to move me to getting some. But, the new LEDs...I like them enough to take the plunge and buy some. The "hot spot" blends at a distance and looks nice to me, FWIW.:)

I would really like a HALO style tail light. but the LEDs I have right now are fine.. I have been off of work due to my foot so My mind is running crazy the last couple weeks

I want it all. What I want to see is a HALO rear light and a top and bottom RED/AMBER split LED Euro taillight.

GO big or go home LOL

However here is what I run on both my Z's and My Son's GS. Its a one piece unit like -=JEFF=-'s however with a few more LEDS (48 per Lens Actually). On my white Z and daily driver this unit has been running without fail for 12 years and counting. They are very bright

Ike,

See if he would be interested in doing same for Euro lamps.

What are halo lights? Like the lights on front of a Dodge Challenger? And I hate to highjack this thread.....but I have the black outs over my rear lights. How in the hell are those attached? I've tried to figure it out, I see the screws on the lens, but the blackouts cover the screws... Does one have to remove the rear license plate to gain access?

-=Jeff=-
