I am 6-1 with a long torso. The top of my head with a ball cap on nearly touches the headliner. No way can I auto cross wearing a helmet with the targa installed. Has anyone ever lowered the seat mounts? How do the GM engineers do it on the Spyder?

GM engineer equals Small man syndrome huh?
But how did they get the seat so low in the convertible Spyder concept car with its raked low windshield?
I have heard of racers fabbing a bubble in the targa for helmet clearance.

If you’re not set on the stock seat and power seat track you can lower quite a bit from what I researched on CF C4 section. I have a Corbeau A4 ordered shaved 1” bottom and also custom brackets to adapt to stock power seat unit which also lowers it a bit. If I were your height I would have to forego the power seat track for a manual slider to go even lower. The A4 seat (even shaved) is very comfortable to me, but I have not spent more than a couple hours at a time in them.

The C4 interior dimensions were set for the standard male in the 1980s which was 5'10" and 175 lbs. I'm 6ft 2" with short legs and long torso as well. I found a little more room with the 94-96 seats and the front of the seat tilted up slightly. Might give you the extra space you need. More comfortable seat as well. GC

Thank you for the suggestions I sure wish I was 175 lbs! I would be 18 again!

Clear top adds headroom for helmet and is lighter

You can unhook the straps under the seat. I’m 6’4”.
BTW - The hard top, not the clear, is recommended for spirited high speed driving, since it is reduced body flex and potential damage to you irreplaceable windshield.
