I sent this out to the list server - but I dont think it went through so......

Hi everyone,
I am needing opinions on a POSSIBLE event at this years Bloomington Gold June 14 thru 17th at St. Charles, IL . There will be a new format at this years event with the Gold awards taking place on Saturday night and Sunday being used as a special customer (attendee) appreciation day. The format isnt set in stone yet and we are thinking about doing some special awards / events / etc for later model Corvettes especially C4's, C5's and C6's. What I am thinking, if we have enough ZR1 members that commit to attending with thier cars (just attending not entering for Gold certification) we could have a special ZR1NetRegistry Corral with maybe small awards voted on by either our members or "sister" groups like the Callaway Owners group etc for catagories like : Cleanest car, most radical engine , best interior, etc. We might also set up a member drive area / tech area ...ANY ideas would be welcome BUT WHAT I NEED is feedback on this idea and a commitment to show up for the event. What we dont want is for the Bloomington Gold people to set aside an area (space is very limited there) and we not have a good turnout . Please email me back at this address and put "Bloomington Gold" in the subject line and let me know if you can commit to at least show up with your car and what you think would be a good idea for us to do . . . . I am thinking if a corral for the ZR1's, Grand Sports,Callaway Cars, etc. and we each judge the other clubs cars - - - what catagories would you like to be judged?
Send me your opinions direct to my email at corvette95@charter.net
Thanks!

I think you will do well Chris. Each year the ZR-1 net guys make a post here abt where they plan to be at and they do all get together. They usually post some pic's for us all to see! Even though I live pretty close I have not gone to the event---my problem is the the Chain-O-Lakes and this---

usually wins out over driving down to St Charles and being in the hot summer sun--I do have to say the cruise night with a thousand vettes must be a kewl event I would like to do someday when I do decide to come instead of going boating---always seems we get those super hot days when BG is on and I end up going boating and swimming (even though I say each year I am going to go) but one of these years it will be cooler and I'll have to give it a go!
