i know i am jumping the gun on this
since GM is having great sucess with the LS7, it is likely that they will
ever build for there "future" vettes a 4 cam 32 valve DOHC motor, obviously not the LT5 but a "new verison" of DOHC motor or is the
ZR1 the last of the corvettes to get 32 valve DOHC??

This is proly more bravado than reason but IMHO the LT5 is a one time deal.
I would say that logic dictates that the KISS, keep it simple stupid, school of engineering prevails if profit is a prime motive. The LT5 is as simple as it gets, less the twin path induction system, if you want a DOHC motor. I'll give as examples the ford modular DOHC & the Northstar....samey same.
FWIW, us ZRoners like the fact that we have the one & only red headed stepchild from the general.....we wear that as a badge of honour and take perverse pleasure from the fact that our LT5's will never disappear.
To borrow a saying from the B-52 drivers...."when the last B-2 is retired there will be a BUFF at the boneyard to give the B-2 drivers a ride home!" I feel the same way about my ZR-1, I'll be there to give the ride home to the C? whatever driver!:sign10:
