What's the easiest way to get the piston back in the bore without nicking the seal, and what type of lube should it use in the process? Does somebody make something like a spring compressor to help get the seal in the bore?

When I did this recently, brake fluid alone was sufficient. Perhaps rubber lube would help? But I'd Google to see if that's a good or bad idea.
The only other things I can think of are, make sure the seals are completely seated in their grooves, not twisted, and look at the piston from different angles to make sure it's not slightly cocked in the bore. Maybe twisting the piston while pressing it into place will help.
They're often a pain, then they finally go in. Good luck.

The calipers aren't installed on the car but need to be assembled. I'm thinking about putting the pistons in the freezer to get to shrink a hair,is there anything negative about chilling the pistons?
