The corner of Ami's smoked glass top was broken and glued(?) Back on. But, the repair is visible (maybe only to a blind man on a galloping horse...).
I think if there was a filler of some kind, I believe I have the tools to buff it out.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
TIA :)

Paul give this a try. I have used it on T-tops, targa tops and jewelery with good results.

Better to buy a new one now and stop the frustration of dealing with a broken one.
ANY repair will still be easily seen by the blind person on the galloping horse, and cheapens the look of the car.
Those roof panels are subjected to a lot of torsional force as the car moves over bumps and potholes. Once it is compromised, it is likely to remain that way.
Yours can be rebuilt, or best to just use it as a core for return.
Melrose or Thompson as others said, both are fine as long as you select the factory replacement version.
Like Nike; Just do it.
Then enjoy the new top!

This is a bit of a tangent, but hopefully related enough ...
If you buy a protective storage cover for your targa top, look closely before ordering. I was very disappointed when I found my new cover left the vulnerable corners exposed. It's easy to set the top down on one of the corners and chip it. The cover doesn't protect them at all (see lower corners in this photo).

Also, I agree with Marty. My glass top came with a cracked corner, and I stupidly did a few track days with my car and the top developed more cracks. I shouldv'e swapped to my other top for those days.
My cracks are hidden (not very well) with black vinyl (like the decal material). It looks okay from 15' away.

The corners of the storage bag are left
"exposed" to allow it to fit in the fixtures
in the rear storage compartment

I'd be curious too. Mine has a 1" crack on the front drivers corner. Along time ago I had a 95 I bought a Astro top for, was a big piece of crap compared to the original. Melrose has some good reviews but never looked at one up close.

Ahhhh, that's why they do that. Thanks Doug.

Paul,
There's Melrose T Tops in Cortland.
Paul, I concur you should just get a new one. I bought a replacement transparent top for my '95 at Melrose. Gave them my old one (it was a replacement in its own right, made out of Lexan, not Polycarbonate, and had cracked). They required it as a trade in because they could reuse the frame (also was a replacement, but an OEM one, with no serial number on it). The one I got from Melrose also had no serial number on it--it is illegal to add or change a serial number. Had a good experience with Melrose and you can just drive to them. And cash gets you a discount--at least it got me one. Can't recall what I paid but it was in the neighborhood of $600-$650 I think. As an added incentive, the owner owns and displays one of the Morrison cars--at least he did when I bought my top in 2013.

If you use Thompson, you need to order the factory replacement or rebuilt unit.
Those use a GM frame with similar Glass.
They are equal in quality to the original, as well as Melrose.
