So far, we are good! #473 is safe in the hangar despite 12+ inches of rain so far. Still looking at 18-24 inches more before Harvey gets out of here! I pray that all of those in harm's way are comforted and protected during this epic event..

My new spillway is working well! This was yesterday morning. This morning the rate of flow is 2X, at least 1,000 gpm!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170827/4cffb72be347cc23c536a9556f1652d1.jpg

Try and stay safe. Take this time to get # 473 up on blocks. Remember one can never be too safe.

You Texas folks need any help?

We're a pretty tough lot here. Everyone is involved in cleanup operations, taking out carpeting, furniture, drywall and pretty much everything on floor level. Hard to explain unless you've lived through this mess.

Thoughts and prayers are welcomed by all. Every day that passes is one day closer to restoration of normal activities..

Steve's right. We are fairly self sufficient bunch here. Neighbor helping neighbor, private boats coming in from everywhere. Businesses are getting open quickly. We'll be back to normal faster than news media says. Best thing is not a lot of electrical outages as after a hurricane. With that normal will get here quicker.

Going to be a huge number of water logged damaged cars they mentioned 500k on the news.

Having worked the last 4 days in hard hit areas, there are a lot of cars that were submerged. We will have a huge number of vehicles that were under water. It came up so fast on Saturday that there was almost no time to move people, much less cars and trucks and motorcycles..

I had no idea how bad it is there in Texas. Wow. Initially the Fake News said there was little no damage but now people say this is worse than Katrina and Andrew combined.

Prayers.

I'm sorry, but WHAT!!!! There wasn't a single news outlet that I saw that didn't say that Harvey was a major, major storm. All the major channels, plus Fox, CNN, MSN, nobody downplayed this storm.

Boy, if fake news was down playing the storm, I would hate to see what was really going on.

This is the time for people to donate to reputable charities if at all possible, if your like me and like to see where your money goes, bring money/stuff directly to a shelter or center.
One story you guys, my wife and I drove over to Memorial Area Ministries earlier to bring a bunch of stuff to them. Turns out what they really needed was what we did not bring, toiletries. So we drove over to the Dollar store and picked a bunch of stuff. While there there was this fella walking the aisles and he made me uneasy, (spider sense heightened). So as we are checking out with the only cashier, he dashed out the door with a full cart into a waiting pick up. Really no kidding! they are out there and I think its going get worse before it backs to normal. People will do crazy stuff when they are desparate.

What about the Billionaire Tax Exempt Preacher Joel Osteen? Is he doing anything to help? I guess God told him to stay home and watch Fake News.

Irma has been upgraded to Cat 5 now. Islands and East Coast in the crosshairs.

Lee, has the other shoe dropped? Just now getting to some areas that flood waters have finally receded from. Here's a photo of the "storage yard" near the Royal Purple drag strip in Baytown!6580

For us we are really wrapping up the event, if we are reflective of the what the market experienced we were short of the low end of the industry projection; originally they said 300-500K cars lost. It might be more in the 150K-200K range if the market reflects what we saw.

Proud to say we handled most of these claims in about 1/5 the time you would typically see.

People in Texas were great to work with and it felt good to assist those in need.....most were shocked at how fast we paid the claims.
