The Callaway 490 package makes 500+hp

Cool build, but yes that doesn't even come close to sounding like a LT5..

That's why they call it 490?

Yep!
Like your ZR-1 GM rated at 375hp!
This is why they are so generous with the dyno sheets.

If you watch the video, you'll see it's an LS6. The donor chassis was a C5 Z06. Cool, but not powered by and LT5.

OK I am almost certain the original version of this came with an LT-5.....maybe it was just in the concept drawing. Will look through the 100 or so mags I have, I know its in there

Bertone Nivola had an LT-5 ....looks like the same shape and the ISO designer started at Bertone

Watch the video... it shows the engine. An LS motor. What's funny, they talk about getting the C5 Z06 and it being the last and best of the C5's but talk about it having a "ZR-1" motor. (I think they're confused.) But that's not what's in the photos and film they show. It's an LS motor, coils on the valve covers and everything.

So there is a ZR-1 tie to the ISO, the ZR-1 was to be the platform for the ISO when it was originally built, in fact they bought a test mule Z to build it....and apparently maybe had one built and that Z is now MIA.

The article said zr1 and so did the subtitles, but when watching it, I saw the ls intake, hence my edit. Would have been way cooler with an LT5.

David Whitehead and I visited the Dallara F1 facility, near Milan, in the fall of 1992(?) to discuss the use of LT5 in this project back when we were trying to establish a market, or markets, for 1500 of these engines so that the Stillwater facility would carry on production of the engine following ending of ZR-1 production. We also talked to Rolls Royce and a couple of other companies too, alas to no avail.
