Congrats.
I live in Sewickley, not too far from you and Kevin.
Tell us more about your car. Owner history, mods, miles?
You will find the forum a hugely valuable resource with great people willing to help keep your car in top shape.

Grabbed it from LWAutomotive, right off Rt 19 across from Totin's Diner.
You're bound to see me running around on weekends. :D

Hi Roger, and thanks. From what I understand I'm the fifth owner. Mods include missing tools, some plastic that's busted, and worn leather and driver's floor carpeting ;)
Seriously though, it's stock as far as I can tell, just has a bunch of little things to fix, which is nice since no heavy duty repairs (other than the A/C which blows hot air very nicely). 46000 miles, new tires, paint is in very good condition.
Only excitement so far was she was running really poorly (idle hunting, sputtering and surging at low speeds) when I test drove her and when I picked her up. She flew when I got on her and the secondaries opened up though, so figured either IAC or primary injectors issues. Turns out it was that little hose on the MAP sensor. It was clogged with oil and had popped off. I put her back on and she ran flawlessly. You should've seen the big grin I had on all day after that!
Thanks to the several Corvette forums (including this one) I visited over 4 - 5 hours Sat night, I was able to get a good list and troubleshooting plan together. Had it fixed in no time (big sigh of relief too!)!

Awesome. I sent you a pm here in case you didn't see it. If you need anything don't hesitate to call, email or text. I keep weird hours so you won't be bothering me if you need something late. Without knowing what's done to the car I'd budget for a set of injectors (all 16) and a haibeck chip. The ac probably just needs a recharge which isn't hard at all.

I know exactly where you mean. I work in Wexford on Rt. 19.
Glad you found the problem so quickly. If you are like me, I enjoy working on the car as much as driving it. My car is mostly stock but I do have Marc's chip to run full time secondaries which I am very happy with.
Too bad we missed the Northway car show featuring Corvettes a few weeks ago. It would've been cool for the 3 of us to be there.

That sound like a good plan to budget for stuff ahead of time and maybe pick up parts when they pop up, before i need them.

I actually don't mind working on my machines. Since I don't need it as a daily driver (unlike my 93 when I had it) I'm far more inclined to work on it myself, for the challenge and exercise, and the satisfaction.
That would've been great. Got out to Quaker Steak & Lube in Cranberry last Sunday, which was fine, but something a little bigger would be great, and other ZR1 owners would be a treat.

Hi Jeff. Wooopsie, forgot to mention it has Black interior. A/C is Electronic, hopefully refrig charge is all it need to be back up to snuff. Targa top is the Blue tint. Targa needs replace though, it has a large stress crack. All the interior stuff appears to be stock otherwise.
As far as mods go, I'd like to get the HP up to 400, just to say she has 400, and well, more is better! Otherwise I'd prefer upgraded suspension (maybe; not sure what you can do with the electronic adjustable suspension yet) and brakes at some point, but I'll take my leisurely time with that I think.

you can do coilovers or revlave the fx3 neither is cheap but the stock suspension is pretty good. Brakes you can do any number of things from c5 or c6 stuff to heavy aftermarket stuff. The first thing I'd do is get a chip from zr1specialist.com

Wow, there's a wealth of info on zr1specialist! Thanks for the link.
Let the plotting and scheming begin! :D
