I'm looking for various items for my 93 ZR-1 for NCRS. Some things I have but other items I need like the wheel wrench extension and locking lug nuts bag with instructions. There are probably other items but that's a start for now. Any help in acquiring any of these would be great. I wanted to do this last year but I was off work for a year due to a medical condition but back at work as we speak. For the most part, the car is very close to Top Flight. Thanks.

Any luck on finding these, Jetjock?

No, I haven't. I did have someone offer me a wheel extension but it was way overpriced. I looked at your info and saw that you like flying. What kind of aircraft?

^^
I have merely the "wheel wrench extension" and an original GM box with instructions for the wheel lock nuts, no bag that I can find. You'd be welcome to borrow them for an NCRS event if it'd help you succeed in that "top flight" rating. Looks like you're just up the road...
I flew a variety of USAF a/c... but for fun now, a simple "tail dragger" - a fully aerobatic Citabria (club plane). Et toi?

Can someone post a picture of the extension?
From what I understand, not all cars had them.
My Z didn't have one (the jack bag in the spare tire had never been opened
before I got the car w/3500 miles) Should it have been in the console?
During the Top Flight,
NCRS didn't ask about it?

The dealers put them in the console. They disappear real fast. All of the Z's had them.

I think the wheel extension is behind the drivers seat.... I will take a picture tonight.
I just did a look through the 90 to 92 ZR-1 Owners Manuals and found out something that I didn't know. Apparently, the 90 ZR-1 did not have a wheel wrench extension. There is a clip at the back of the console that holds the wheel lock nut. In the 91 ZR-1 manual, there is a picture of the wheel wrench extension and the wheel lock nut in an elastic sleeve that is Velcroed inside the console. In the 92 and on manuals, there is a holder for the wheel lock nut as the manuals are the zip-up kind vs the 90 and 91 manuals. There is an elastic sleeve in both of my cars that held the wheel wrench extension.
The 92-93 NCRS manual shows the contents of the center console and list them. The wheel lock nut and the wheel wrench extension look the exact same except for the ribbed inside for the wheel lock nut.
According to Betty at the NCM, the wheel lock bag, the owner's manual and the wheel wrench extension were put in the car by the dealers and not at the assembly plant. The last ZR-1, that the museum has, does not have those contents. Console is empty.
The only thing behind the drivers seat is the wrench to jack up the car. I didn't look but I think that has been relocated in the later Z's. I only had the 92, 93 and 95 ZR-1's.
I hope that helps.

Roy, Thanks for the explanation!
My car's a 90.
Betty knows her stuff!
Too bad they won't let her give
out the dyno sheets. 😋

Yes, although the Altoids are optional in some cars and not necessarily restricted to ZR-1's as well as the the cigarette lighter. The wheel wrench extension should have a elastic holder that is at the back of the console. In the 92 and on ZR-1's, the wheel lock nut goes in the drivers manual.

Lol......you just made my Pepsi fly out my nose!!! What can I say, the ladies love the fresh breathe lol. I'm not seeing a plastic holder, but then again I really need to clean my console out.

That will teach you about drinking and reading at the same time. You're lucky that you have both of them. Here is a picture of the elastic. On the 91 ZR-1, the elastic holds both of them. It is much longer than this one.

Do you need either one for your judging? I'd be more than willing to send you either one to use....I'm still looking for the carry strap.

I just need the wheel wrench extension. No hurry though. I have a lot of issues to fix on the car before I got to that point. Thank you for the offer.

The elastic holder is being made by Glorie McNay the 90-96 interior judge.

My 91 has the single strap for the extension and no proviso for the locking lug extension.

I’ve got quite a few parts that came with a 93 ZR-1 that I purchased last summer. PM me if there is something specific that you need and I’ll check to see if I have anything you need. Scott

You should be able to buy the extension here for $7.00 plus shipping from the OEM.

Glorie is not longer making the straps to hold them in but if you have access to a heavy duty sewing machine I can get you dimensions and information,
Green lug nut bag is like one or two points and I paid too much for that.
Yes all 90-95 ZR-1 got the bag with items in it. The fact that the museum is missing some parts is not uncommon for cars that did not go through the entire normal build/sell channels. My buddy has two 94 Coppers (not ZR-1) that GM owned first. Both were missing items.
If you are going to do a PV, please reach out to me or someone else that has actually completed one or more. They are difficult but not impossible, I'm 2 and 0 for C4s.
Lastly your not supposed to borrow parts to pass NCRS but it happens.
Good luck,
Joel

If you have the 1993 MY NCRS judging manual make sure of the color and part # is the same as the 1990 bag. There has been some discussion that the color and part # changed. Just a word of advice.
