I'm running 18" Shelby's with 335/30's and 275/40's. Suddenly, I cannot find a manufacturer in those sizes. Michelin no longer makes a tire that wide. I ordered a set of Pirelli's and took them up to discount tire and they won't even mount them because the load index for the front on this car has to be a 98 and these are a 95. Finding a 275/35/18 with a load index of 98 or higher isn't an issue. But finding one that also makes a 335/30 is impossible. What are you guys that have 18's running for tires?

I guess I could just take the tires and wheels up and if they ask tell them it's a custom rod or something. I just hate to lie about what it's going on. Bad carma...

Have your tires mounted on your rims take them home and put them on your car.

Just how bad do you want those tires mounted?

Main reason why I went with 19" rears when ordering new wheels a while back.

Dang David. Sorry to hear about your troubles. Like it was mentioned above, that's why I went with 19's. I also had the tires mounted on the rims, and then took them home for me to put on the car. Good luck in your quest!

I would not worry about the load rating if it's that close. The tires on my truck are rated only to 99 mph but on the dyno my top speed was 155.
