Sent the car up to Marc last week - what a great experience so far! Marc spent a good amount of time with it before going over its needs with me. Best news was the engine noise I'd worried about is just some piston slap. Honestly, if I'd gotten the same opinion from a non-specialist it would have nagged on me but coming from him gives me peace of mind. She needs some odds and ends but nothing major and should only take a week or so to complete. She took a truck ride to IL but I plan to drive her home and enjoy. :)

I hear another success story coming by the ZR-1 Specialist. All of you are so fortunate to be able to send your cars to Marc as needed. I don't think I could bribe him to come to Japan to work on my car with sushi and geisha girls even if I wanted too.

Picked up the car today, am headed home with her. Car is running great. Marc is very generous with his time, made sure to walk me through all the repairs and answer all questions. Really happy I had him put a Hurst shifter on it (dropped the trans to replace a pilot bushing and I'd had the shifter NIB for years, it was time to put it to some good use). Car will be coming to the Gathering in BG next month.
