I got an extra set of Zr1 front calipers that I want to put on my wife's 85. Anyone know where I can get an adapter for the caliper braket

If your wife's '85 still has 16" wheels I don't believe that you can do the J55/13" brakes. Blowerworks had one set he offered up a couple of weeks ago that would be needed maybe! This kit would allow dual piston later calipers for sure but 13"?
Directions to get to it in his catalog in this thread. I found it!

I tried to upload the .pdf catalog and it wouldn't allow it.

Those brackets were for Jb9 brakes, not J55. Yeah I got big wheels on it.
If I even had a schematic I could have someone machine a pair

If the adapter bracket was only intended to be used as knuckle/spindle mounting points I'd think that maybe the 13"/J55 abutments and calipers could be adapted. Certainly don't know but you're the guy wanting so maybe YOU do the research.
Sell the J55 stuff and buy the wife some "real" brakes maybe!

I'd take Dave's advice and throw on a set of the C5 brakes since you have larger wheels.

I wasn't actually thinking the C5 change but maybe "real" brakes. Anything done with any type of adapter is maybe questionable at best. Find someone with 50K miles on a package that was done with adapter bracketry of sorts and maybe that changes.

Really not trying to spend much on an 85. Just saw my zr1 brakes and calipers sitting there so for the price of a couple braket adapters I'd throw them on. I'm sure I saw such an animal years ago. Really don't want to go hacking up her car either. I have looked everywhere else I could think of thought maybe someone here might know. Guess I'll just leave it be. That's for the replies!

Not that I'm suggesting using C6Z06 brakes on an 85. However, I did have C5 brakes for many years on my 84 Xfire.
