Thanks. Auction ends soon!
Got in touch with the seller, but he won't show it to me today. Gave him (her?) my number and he said he'd call me tomorrow, which is when the auction ends.
I'll post back if/when I've had a chance to give it a once over...hopefully if anyone here is bidding on it, that'll be before the auction ends.
Thanks for checking. I will most likely pass on the car. Between the auction price and shipping it is not worth it.
Thanks again.
Gotcha...I'll still probably check it out if given the chance. Don't see too many on the island.

Too funny. That looks like the Z that I owned at one time. If so, it was hardly driven since I sold it at 30K mikes. It was a nice, , clean, all original car that I bought from the original owner. I had to sell it when I got married.in 2008. I can't confirm the VIN until I return from Alabama tomorrow. If CARFAX shows registered in Pearl City, then it probably is the White/Black 91 or too coincidental.

Hey Joie,
If you buy it, it can stay on the island......lol. The original owner of that car has a yellow C6 Z06.

Craig,
Guess what...it's your old car!!
I spoke to the guy that has it now and he remembers going with his friend to buy it from you 10 years ago.

I'm the wining bidder now, please find out if it's decent :)
From what I was told, the car wasn't driven a whole lot since Craig sold it...probably 1K miles over 10 years. The current owner recently pulled the plenum to fix a PCV and also had the oil pressure sensor replaced.
He said it still has the original tires, so factor in the cost of a new set to the price of the car.
Jaykran, I noticed you're in Canada...I hope you realize how much it'll cost to get the car to you? At least $1,500-$2,000 USD to get it to a west coast port and then I'd guess at least another $1K to get the car to you.

Lol I bid on it at the beginning! All the bidders after me pulled out because the mileage on carfax doesn't match what's on the car.
I think that may work in your favor, if you're not turned off by the shipping costs.
He explained to me that when he took down the mileage to transfer ownership, he thought he saw a "5" instead of a "3" when quickly noting it down. That's what he wrote on the transfer papers and that's what the DMV took as the mileage.
The car is actually less than a mile from me right now...he gave me permission to go there, pull the cover and inspect it. I'm tempted to leave the office to "get some fresh air." ;)

What was the mileage on it when Craig sold it?
I think Craig mentioned 30K...

Sorry, I can't remember details about miles from 10 years ago and I did not own the car very long. It was a nice car and 1 owner. Carfax was straight when I bought it from the original owner. I still have the box of stuff he gave me with the car like original LT5 Registry news, etc. I did give the buyer all the VIN specific stuff with owner's kit, build sheet, window sticker and engraved name plate, etc. Hopefully it is still in nice condition and garaged all those years. I should not have sold that one, I just did not care for white and my 90 was already highly modded by then. The plan was to have one bone stock and one modified Z. It was a new marriage forced sale. Best wishes to the new owner.

Craig, This is Robert. I was with Lance when he bought your car 10 years ago. You had the red zr1 right next to it in your garage. I bought it from lance since he didn't hardly drive it.It has only 31,000 miles on it but when i changed the title to my name, 50,000 was put on the title cause when i looked at the digital gauge the 3 looked like a 5. Thats what happens with age>> you start going blind. Car is still in good shape still. Had to remove the plenum to change the starter and some hoses. Small World. Aloha PS: I Think i might just keep it!

Nice car. I assume the bidding will go up as the auction nears closing. Shipping is pretty expensive!

Nice purchase at $11,100... very nice looking car. If the shipping wasn't so high and I had more garage space, this car would be on its way to my house right now.

Hey Robert,
Sorry about my foggy memory with names. Glad to hear you're keeping the car. I remember it was well cared for by the original owner and I still have his info if needed. Glad to hear you're keeping it and you should get together with Joie. I'll look you up when I come home in June. I might have more items related specifically to that car. Never really went through all the stuff from original owner in Aiea. I did not want to sell it, but had to.
Take care and Aloha,
Craig

How come it says "sold" on E bay if it didn't sell?

Howzit Joie and Robert!
How many Zs do you think are on Oahu now? At one time I thought there was maybe 6 or 7? Hard to know for sure since some aren’t driven much or the owners keep to themselves. Just curious to know if you folks see any while driving around or have your own count?
I can tell you I have not seen one on Kaua’i. I have seen only two Corvettes on island to date. One LT1 C4 and a C5 today. I guess you can’t drive over 50 mph on the one horseshoe highway so why bother having a sports car. At least we have a drag strip here. 🤣🤙🏼
Aloha,
Craig

Hey Craig,
Hope you're not working too hard over on Kauai!
Now that the Z is back on the road, I've been attending a few car events around the island...haven't come across another ZR-1 yet. There was a black one for sale on CL a couple of weeks ago for around $14,500.

Howzit Joie,
The Navy is killing me over here on Gilligan’s Island! If not for my Fat Bob project I would be going crazy.
Good to hear you’re enjoying the car and attending car events. I saw that black one and it seemed to be a pretty good buy. Hey, buy another one. You have the space and lifts with your dream car garage.
Take care,
Craig
