Does anyone know the size of the front and rear sway bar on a 91 ZR1?
Also has anyone changed out and to what brand and size with what results? Thank you:cheers:

This will get you started. It lists the sizes that came on C4 Corvettes.

I searched and found a solid 32mm bar that was gm and used it. I think it was from this forum but late c4s I believe are interchangeable. Noticeable difference for me. Always on my first mods-list. makes the front end much flatter and sharper feeling.

You left the stock bar in the rear?

When I bought my Z I assumed I'd want to stiffen the ARB's and maybe springs, but after 2 years and 5-6 track days, I'm very happy with how it handles. It's neutral and predictable at the limit. The sway isn't noticeable enough to hurt the performance (on my scale). A blast!

The only updates/maintenance I did was new shocks, lowering bolts in the rear, new tires and a very good alignment.

I'm sure it's different for others, a personal preference.

Yes if I remember right the z has the 26mm solid bar in the back because of the wider tires and wheels. On my lt1 car I put the 26mm because I run 11s but it seemed a little form and only helped slide the rear around so I figure 26mm is plenty for the z

GM never made a 32-mm front bar for a C4.

Even if it did make a 32, just bolting that one with no other changes, might make the front end..."much flatter and sharper feeling," but the overall effect on handing at the limit would be decidely negative because, going up 2-mm in the front, would increase, not decrease, understeer so you'd go into turns with the front end leaning less but also the car would be going slower.

My guess is your "32-mm front bar", if it's from GM is really just a stock 30-mm bar.

I thought I recalled the biggest gm bar being 32 but looks like 30 is the one. hmm.. I cant even remember what size mine is. Theres a lot of variables that come into play to determine wether or not a car would be slower or faster including driver preference. Much flatter and sharper is worth it for me. If I cared about actual numbers than I would be in a c5z or a different car.
