Pretty cool!
My gut feeling is the strakes should be straighter, in line with the car, because (I think), their purpose is to prevent the air from spilling in from the sides. At least, that's what wing fences are for.
on edit: I see the cardboard prototype's strake angles look more like what I've seen before.
Looks cool. Hard to tell how much it might help.
Do you have time booked at the wind tunnel? :-)

Yes, good job...10 year ago I replaced my useless stock spare tyre with this, a little smaler diffuser because without a cover in the rear the uplift at higher vehicle speed on the highway makes the rear axle quite nervously.

Thomas, what kind of exhaust system is that? Are you happy and how does it sound?
I have a MagnaFlow resonator on my 91 with stock mufflers. I'm mostly happy but would like a bit more.

Hi Bill, the sound is perfect in my ears (some grandmas getting their little dogs blown away on the street!)....sounds like a race car! But inside the car it`s more silent than outside. I was afraid when I was standing outside the car during dyno-testing.
I welded whole system by myself...behind the Stainless Works headers, it`s all 3 inch size. There are two 100 cell cats followed from a muffler-dummy with a H-pipe inside. At the rear there are 2 mufflers with 3 inch inlet and 2 x 2.5 inch outlets. The 4 exhaust tips are from a truck supplier at eBay.com

Actually Thomas that useless spare tire is used as a part of the safety calculation engineering wise if your rear-ended, Which is why GM added the Spare tire delete reinforcement bar if you don't have a spare
Here is a picture of the Spare Tire Delete Bar from GM in position on my son's 96 Grand Sport

I used a smoke machine and our pressure fan...did alright for the equipment i had. The airflow did seem breakup near thr exhaust and flow decently through the veins.
