Does anyone have for sale or know where to locate one of those "ZR-1" front license plate bumper cover fillers?
Thanks,

I've been looking for one too if you find any.

What color are you looking for?
What years? 90 fillers are different than 91-95 fillers. (At least I think that's the year breakdown). That's the trouble I ran into when looking for one for my 90.

I think the one they are referring to has the ZR-1 logo and was made by a member about 10+ years ago. Don't see them come up for sale much. Someone was selling a copy on e-bay but I understand it was a poor copy.

Yup! 1990s had the 80s style front bumper, and 91-95 had the "rounded corners" style bumper. Different filler panels.
Someone with Brett's talents could make them, given the proper model to make mold(s) from. However, the real snag would be the ZR-1 logo is owned by GM, and the Registry cannot be in the business of making or selling such, or face liabilities consequences.

Ahhh gotcha. Maybe a redesign is in order? Anybody got a 3D printer?
I may or may not have a 90 and 95 stock front filler on my shelf at the moment...

That is what I am looking for. I need one for the '91-'95 model year. I purchased one for my '92, and liked the look of it.

I'm in the process of making one just don't have time right now to continue with it and the quality will be 100% better than what's out there now. I've got pictures of what I'm working on but can't post them here. Mine is 91-95 but as stated they can't be sold but I can give them away. I hope to get back on this soon.

Think the "Chicago Way", Jeff. You give them away and we can make a "contribution" to your "favorite charity", or "loan" you some money, kind of like the way the (smarter) Aldermen do in Chicago. The dumber ones get caught and go to jail, so far 29 and counting with at least one currently under indictment and the County Clerk wiggling under the "loan" problem. :) --Bob

I wish I lived in a state where I could run one of those... Makes the front end look way more smooth and clean.

There's a few options for you to run both, I'll have to see if I have a picture of Marc Haibeck's car around

I will do that. It might be a few months before I can do anything with this and then I'll make a mold of what I have.

I'd love to get hold of one for my '90 model if and when they become available. A much nicer look than having a plate stuck in there.

I don't know how it is in your state, but California is also a "have to have a front plate" state. However, I have NEVER run a front plate on any of the vehicles I've owned (took them off if there was one). Not once in all those years have I ever gotten pulled over for not having one (though I've heard of people who have). Even when I've gotten pulled over for other reasons, none of the police officers mentioned my lack of a front plate.
I still have no front plate on my truck.

Illinois is a 'have to have a front plate' state.......it sucks. I have been pulled over before and given a warning for not having a front plate. I don't mind though, because the plate covers a hole on my ZR-1. I'm not sure why the hole is there or what purpose its there for.

Could have had an AO Engineering forced air at one time

I've got one of the ZR-1 splash ones for my Z. Got it off eBay. Kinda rough but I'm sure my shop can smooth it out real nice. Wouldn't mind have one of the AO intakes as well!

Forced Air system made years ago. Brett Henderson has the rights to the system, but I'm not sure where that ended up.

When your car left the factory, there was a cover over that. Similar to the one pictured in the first post of this thread, but without the ZR-1. So it was either the cover or a plate.

Please close this thread, it has taken a course I had not intended. I was looking for a cover, not complaints about front license plates, etc. Thanks

I'm going to leave it open just to see if we can find you a cover or come up with a solution. I will ask that we keep this on topic and start another thread for other matters

Looks like I've missed out on that one. Doesn't stop the car from running so that's ok. I'll keep looking until I find one that's available .
Cheers
