Anyone else into diesel pickups

I have a 2001 Lb7 quad cab,. 625 HP 1275 ft lbs torque. It has really spoiled me into what power is all about.

Yep. I have a F250 6.4L Super Cab Short box. I use it for pulling my trailer. Only thing left to upgrade are the ARP Head bolts.
Sitting somewhere around the same horse and TQ as you.
Useless in Michigan winters.

Few sub12 sec. 1/4 mile runs this last summer that was with 35" tires. My best was 11.6. I think I could go a little faster if I used 33 inch street tires vs. mud tires.

I like the white one Big John.
Some of these diesels are amazing. Sub 12 seconds in a streetable pick up!
We ran into some of the truck guys at BG a couple years ago. They rented the track before we could get to it and they wouldn't let us play with them. Probably a good thing, they would have spanked a lot of us.

Four door top kick is nice. When I get a stacker trailer I have to get a top kick or Kodiak.

It was kind of cool back at the 2010 Gathering... I was visiting with engineer Jim Minneker. His position at GM at the time was "assistant chief engineer" of Duramax Diesels at GM.

My dad had just gotten a 2009 Chevy Duramax regular cab (farm pickup). My brother, a couple years earlier had gotten a 2008 Chevy Duramax and my dad's good truck was a 2004 GMC Duramax.

I was only too happy to show our support! I remember dad asking him about how they were dealing with the coming emissions standards and how I heard for the first time about Urea (sp?).

A friend of mine here is Michigan bought a Michigan Surplus F350.
No EGR or EGR Subcooler.
No DPF
No SCR
No Programmer for the deletes, These were all deleted by Ford when the truck was built.
Are you kidding me, Everything that is killing my engine was a factory delete on a government vehicle.

I have a 2016 RAM 1500 EcoDiesel and love it. I had a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee CRD before that and loved it. Diesel is the way to go.

I get 20-22 MPG city and 27-30 MPG highway. Can't beat it in a full size truck.

I'm jealous Rich. I loved my 03 Sonic Blue SVT Lightning almost as much as my ZR-1. Only one could ship to Japan. The Lightning would surely turn more heads here and I have not seen one yet!

I lost my arse when I sold my ZR-1, but my Lightning sold for $2000 more than I paid for it after 3 years of ownership.
