This garage is attached to my house but it was always full of junk. Well after 30 years I decided to have it done nice.

Sounds good to me. I'm going to Germany for New Years, when I get back I will order it from Benpak. I was going to get a two post but after talking to Jim I decided to get another 4 post. That will give me an extra space for one more car.

very nice =D> Im looking forward to my new house next spring... wont be anything like that but I will do my best !! I always wanted a 2 post but ill be doing a 4 post as well. Going with the widest one possible for the most clearance to work underneath etc and for the obvious parking spot advantage without the wheels hanging.

I installed the garage tiles myself, it was very easy I used Racedeck the cost for 30' by 24' was around $3500.00.
I have a 3" drop so I can wash my car in there and the water runs out the doors. The first day when you walked around you hear a cracking sound, but now after it has been in I don't hear the sound anymore.

I'll interject myself into this question and suggest having a company called Floorguard do it. It's an epoxy coating that requires a lot of prep and best done by professionals. About $4 or $5 a foot. (I had painted a garage previously with lots of prep and the paint came up the first day). Mine has been great for three years now and I have several friends who have had it down for almost ten years. --Bob

did my last floor which was 30 by 40 with u coat/turned out nice but was tons of work removing old coating/3 stage epoxy//this part of my new shop is 40 by 50 and the gray paint is lifting/guess I will try it again//probably 3000 just in epoxy paint/nothing cheap in a man cave

I have a small section of my garage where I installed $300 worth of Speedway Tile (8'x13').
http://zr1.net/forum/picture.php?albumid=356&pictureid=3111
It's certainly not as nice as a high quality floor covering, but it did a lot to improve the looks of that area (maybe because the rest of my garage is a wreck), and it's much more pleasant laying on it compared to cement.
The white tiles get dirty easily. I clean it by hand every couple of months with a solvent or something, and it looks good again for a while.

I had two companies give me a quote for epoxy coating prior going with a tile floor, but neither one would guarantee that brake fluid would not damage it. Both quotes were over $ 5k. I will do most of my work on my cars in my other building that has a lift but it does not have heat or air and its just a plain cement floor which is find during the summer but not when its cold. By the way I did have a few cracks in the cement that I filled dry with morar mix.

The garage looks great Nelson. You are really doing a nice job there. I will be in Florida Christmas to New Years, so I will see you when you get back from Germany. I am standing by to help put the lift together. Let me know when you want to go pick it up.

So, I've considered a Racedeck, but was worried that when the wife pulled in with all the salt and sand it would just plug up the deck. Anybody have any experience with this?
