Can somebody tell me where ground 106 is physically, the book shows it to be somewhere at the right rear of the engine bay but I'm not seeing it.

"Ground 106" (and G105) is one of two major common (conglomerate) ground attachment points on the back of the block. Both are comprised of a bolt threaded into a boss on the block, just above the bell housing, and serve as ground points for the ECM, CCM, and most all of the "creature feature" circuits in the cabin.
One of the two tie points is directly below the PVC valves (by about 8-10 inches), and the other is directly below the fuel rail junction.
Which is the G106? I'm not sure (without flipping through the FSM), but the one below the PVC valves has the most terminals attached to it - including a chassis (braided) ground. I'm guessing that one is G106. But, if not, then the one immediately to the passenger side (under the fuel rail junction) IS (and the other can be deduced as the G105 ground point.)
Hope this helps, Bob!!:o
PS: The last time I serviced them was when I changed my clutch. With the bell-housing off the motor, it is easy to service them; i.e., wire brush them clean and slather them with dielectric grease or battery-terminal spray to keep them from becoming corroded. That was at least 5 years ago. So far...SO GOOD!
Paul.

I don't believe this image is in all year FSM - this is from a '94 but could be assumed for all I'd think. In the '94 it's @ 8A-201-12

A lot of knowledge on this site. It's a daily read for me.

Well I cleaned what I believe to be the ground strap coming off of G105 and terminating at the frame under the ECM.... so I guess what I'm looking for is there a ground strap on G106? It must go somewhere and not just terminate at the engine right?
