Ported it....
Done the 500hp+ build...
Frankenplenum...
Nitrous....

I think the only way to keep up with the jones is forced induction; Callaway had it right back in 87 and now everyone is running twins.....I have driven my Sl600 5.5L V12 Twin Turbo with 605hp and 700ftlbs most of the summer; its like the hand of god gets behind you and shoves you in an instant to 120MPH

I am thinking a low boost TT on a 500hp engine would get me up to 2017 specs; forced induction is getting cheaper so its time!

Or I just go buy a 2012 Callaway

Hope did the nitrous turnout? Did you make a new tube or bust throw some cooler plugs in?

The Nitrous went well, I will fine tune it in the summer and move to a 125 shot.

Hopefully the 91 project will be finished this spring...sell get it off the lift.....in the mean time will start planning TT layout and start parts search

The low boost TT project sounds neat. I would look at a single turbo to reduce plumbing complexity. With how efficient turbos are now you could get a larger single turbo that still spools up quickly.

I'm interested in the Nitrous route as that is the "easiest" and most efficient way for cheap power on these cars. I remember a while back I saw a direct port nitrous plate that sandwiched between the plenum and injector housings.

I think I have a nitrous plate that came with a throttle body, its unfinished

Cams, Compression, and a little more displacement--all natural. What are you waiting for? I can get you to 600, maybe 700. :)

My $10.5K ZR-1 has 520-530hp...on the bottle should be 605 to 655; I would like 650hp; like the turbo idea as it can be adjusted. For $700 my SL600 went from 495 to 600+...can't beat the boost.

Has anyone tried to replicate his kit? It looks feasible and I would think cost in the $5000 range. Then you have to worry about tuning it.

I emailed Randy once indicated it was to complex or expensive to do.....no spares of extra sitting around if I recall
