Anyone think it will fit in the engine bay for the ZR1?

Wow. Sweet. Love to see that in a c-7........ maybe where gm could have been if they had stayed with the LT-5 program!

The LT5 engine back in the day was $30k, so I don't think their price is that bad honestly.

I paid that for 135Hp less & the last few Hp options like bigger valves were the highest cost/Hp of all.

Very good numbers for a normally aspirated engine.

All new 427 DOHC 32V 775Hp engine @ $37.42/Hp

Modified 350 DOHC 32V 405 Hp to 415 DOHC 32V 640Hp engine @ $45.31/Hp

Add tax , shipping , tune with updated hardware, custom headers & exhaust. Then a clutch, transmission & axle shafts to handle the increased power. That is a dry sump oiling system on that engine so add plumbing. Might as well throw in a minimum 4 point cage because she'll be twisting the night away.

Frank,

It's also missing brackets, alt, A/C etc. However, none of that would be an issue for GM to throw together. However does GM Powertrain still have an
NIH attitude as they did w the LT-5?

270 hp more than the LS7. How much does that MM engine weigh?

Yeah and 125 more than a SC LT4. Heads must obviously be heavier but it uses LS bottom end.

Been discussing this motor since yesterday it's been all over social media! Many attempts by mm but looks like they finally did it! Interested in the dimensions myself.. pretty sure I'd have to live without ac though I doubt there would be room

Wonder if they sell the heads as an upgrade to an LSx motor?

Plenty of people have put that kind of money into their LT5s.

498 lbs undressed The LS7 was SAE certified, the 775hp from the SB4 wont be. I'd love to see them both run on the dyno, or even better at the track.
The SB4 should be a decent engine, the QC4V has been out for a while now and it has done well at double the power. The QC4V is BBC based and the SB4 is GEN3/4 SBC based.

I remember when SDPC was selling the service LT5 engines for US$21,999 in the back of the performance mags in the late 90's.
