So I have a new job and was meeting with one of the managers reporting to me.....he asked if I had a corvette with the Mercury Marine motor in it...I said "yes, the LT-5".....he informs me that his dad was an engineer and actually worked on LT-5 testing. Not engine testing, be on testing molds for the block and heads, etc. Said his dad had an LT5 engine at his business back in the late 80s. cool stuff...going to see if he has any drawings, etc

Neat story, you never know who you will meet next!!!
That is a cool story. Oh, ya he has stacks and stacks of original cylinder block, cylinder heads and injector housing molds in his basement. Oh I can dream.

He actually told him I could have them....but that creates a conflict for me....I offered to help him sell them if they seem to be something of interest, but I can't accept something like that from an employee.
Drawings have the Mercury Marine trademarks on them.....

How much are they worth? Perhaps the Registry could buy them? If need be through contributions from members.
Or, as we are a not for profit, could he donate them and take a tax deduction?
