Extremely Nice Alternator is how I describe it mechanically and visually :p

When you say Rebuilt......NOT.....When I took it apart everything looked brand new inside including the Brushes, Bearings and Voltage Regulator (At first I thought the brushes were worn but actually not worn at all).

I am having a guy look this alternator over tomorrow with some test equipment .........This Alternator will be my spare for 1990 #72 and will eventually be installed on #72 which has relatively low mileage :handshak:

MCH-208 Alternator Pulley fits perfectly :dancing

Cool!! Hmmm... when I replaced it, I did the battery (which wasn't too old) and the alternator at the same time... for all I know, it could be just fine... I hope it is! Looks great with that pulley!!

Rectifier was shorted out and you could tell by looking at rear of Alternator where you can see the Rectifier. Ebay.....is sending me a new rectifier :p
Apparently someone dropped a screw or otherwise shorted out the rectifier from the rear ;)

It be a 130 amp Alternator which is very nice

Talking and Doing are two different things :D
It is the prettiest Alternator Inside and Out I have ever seen

I was only thinking ..... talking requires higher level of thought. :p To be honest with the Corsa and Street Shop rear upgrade it was just another project that I could not afford to take on to be honest

This will be a great Alternator to photograph it all apart (like it is now) and assembly in a week or so with identification of all the parts :p

Front Housing, Armature, Pulley, Bearings, Stator, Terminals, Commutator, Voltage Regulator, Brushes, Rectifier, Rear Housing.

All the Parts to Alternators are available on Ebay.

And ....and.....MCH-208 Pulley installed.

I will start a new thread just for the fun of it.....will call it.....Alternator Restoration ;)

On the Ebay rectifier it suggests it is 130 amps. I searched until I found an identical appearing rectifier and will let you know if it works ;)
The Stator Core has three wires that connect to the Rectifier. I guess the Stator Core determines Amps (also depending on Rotor/Rotor speed) but it is more complex than that and when I get this Alternator back together I will just have it bench tested :D

All Parts are on Ebay if you know which Alternator you have. Brushes, Rectifiers, Regulators. Prolly Staters, and bearings as well.

On this Chrome Alternator it was suggested it is Powerhouse Alternator and my local expert suggested it could be almost anything with some Powerhouse Components. I know the Brushes which are new on this Alternator I did find identical on Ebay under Powerhouse.

On this Alternator we found the Rectifier was burnt to a crisp on two diodes as someone dropped a screw or something on rear of alternator. My guy suggested to check the Stator Wiring for burning also which I did and which wiring was perfect so Rectifier was apparently just grounded itself. The Bearings, Brushes, Stator, commutator, and Voltage Regulator all appeared to be new.

Oh....and apparently O'Reilly's will test an alternator if you bring it in (off the car).

Yep they will hand you a print out of what is good/bad during the test cycle
