The hosts this fall are Joe and Gayle Cagianut, and Glenn and Mary Breitung.
Note: this is the weekend of the Formula One race at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) near Austin TX
with practice Friday, qualifying Saturday and the race Sunday.

Friday: F1 practice at COTA is probably the least expensive time to see the track and watch the F1 circus.
Friday night: Gruene Hall in New Braunfels is always a good bet, as is open racing at the local drag strip in Marion TX.
Cagianut’s home will be open for brats, brew and conversation that evening including the shop with tools and and lifts.

Saturday morning and early afternoon: Shop time continues at 9:00 AM with technical assistance from Mark Horner,
Corey Henderson, and Joe Cagianut. Jerry Downey has agreed to deliver any pre-ordered LT5 parts.

For the women, Mary will lead an excursion to the San Marcos outlet malls at 9:30 AM from Cagianut's.
Other options – Farmers Market in New Braunfels 9 AM – 1 PM (Lots of vendors – food & crafts),
and Texas Clay Festival in Gruene, TX 10 AM - 6 PM.

Bring your swim suit for a refreshing swim in Cagianut's pool.

Saturday 5:00 PM: Joe will be serving roast pig, chicken, veggies, baked beans, slaw and Mary's Texas sheet cake.
Adult beverages ... bring your favorites to share; diet soda and other soft drinks will be provided.

Sunday: the F1 race is broadcast live on one of the NBC sports channels at 1:00 PM ... We'll be watching at
Breitung's home. You are on your own for breakfast. Lunch will be provided.

We hope you can join us for the upcoming South Texas ZR-1 BBQ, hosted by the Cagianut and Breitung ZR-1 families!

As Glenn stated, we are looking forward to completing any maintenance items you would like, and will use your car to demonstrate the procedure to the group (a lift is available). All that we ask is for a heads-up to let us know what you'd like us to do. This allows us to ensure that you have all the needed parts and that we have the proper tools available.

Please email me at vette_guy@yahoo.com for maintenance items, as well as RSVP to Glenn for the event at breitung@att.net or 830.629.1525.

We look forward to seeing you in October!

Best Regards,
Mark

Looking forward to seeing everyone and knocking out a couple of things on my car. I'm looking at swapping out the u-joints and possibly lowering if time permits.

Thanks for putting this together, guys. Post up if you're planning on going. The crowd swell could pull some fence riders in!

....................... Jerry Downey has agreed to deliver any pre-ordered LT5 parts. ................................

Well, not "ANY" parts. ;) We're driving the Stingray down, so no crate engine, transmissions, heads, blocks, etc. We do have a travel bag of gaskets & seals, just in case.

I'm making this a social event and not going to sell stuff. May bring an item or two for emergency buys only. I normally am not able to make time for events but was "persuaded". Looking forward to rubbing elbows with all you and just being able to spend time away from the grind.
