Poking around under the hood today and saw that my air cleaner housing is splitting along the right hand side where the molding seam is.

Patched it up for the moment...but looking at what my options are for replacing this part. I am not restricting myself to OEM (though Vette2Vette has one), but I am interested to know what other options I have at this point. Looks like people don't care much for the SLP kit, and the Copland SS boxes are no more.

Any winners out there?

I have the SLP (it came with the car). It's a very nice piece, but I've heard (and believe) the ZR-1 isn't hurting in the air cleaner department, so there aren't any real gains available there.

My car came with the SLP and I like it.

Thanks guys, I suppose my reason for looking at other options than OEM is for durability rather than performance.

In the SLP vs OEM comparison, SLP wins since it is Stainless Steel vs Plastic.

Does anybody know of any other air boxes out there that aren't ~25 year old plastic?

The good part about OEM is that the stock 1991-1996 C4 fits.

Sent from my Nexus 6 using ZR-1 Net Registry mobile app (http://r.tapatalk.com/byo?rid=90383)

Should be able to find lots of them at Carlisle.
Prices vary...
A few years back I got a neatly cut air filter lid and
almost new K&N filter for $20!
May not be a "power adder" but it's going in
right direction...
