I know its still a month and half out, but any Z's planning on going to Corvette funfest in Effingham? I can't make it to Carlisle, but planning on heading to funfest, just to experience my 1st all Corvette gathering. And being only a hour and a half drive from my house, I'd be stupid not to go.

So is anyone coming north up Interstate 57, through Illinois? I thought we could get a small caravan of Beasts to drive up together. I will be heading out from Marion Illinois, which is where Interstate 57 goes through. If not, no big deal. I hope to see some of you guys there anyways and put some faces to names.....

I'm headed to Carlisle myself. But, the Fun Fest was always worth the 2 hr. drive for the wife and me.

And, if you want a custom exhaust installed, Corsa & B&B were there last time the wife and I attended. They were installing systems "while you wait". (You might want to check first tho to see if they do it at the show by appointment, cuz I'm sure they'd have to pull the appropriate stock system from their inventory, prior to the show, in order to have it ready to be installed.)

Also, they had a portable inertia dyno there - had my (then stock) ZR-1 "baselined" there (prior to doing any mods).

Lots of eye candy, shine products (I believe Adams is often doing shine demos), shifters... Ya just never know who or what will show up!

I was planning on buying a K&N filter and open air box, and install at the Event. I still plan on keeping my exhaust stock, I just love the quietness of the car.... Funfest looks to be a good time with lots of things to keep one busy. Its just so close to me, unlike Carlisle. I don't feel my Z is up to a 8 hour drive, then to sit in traffic waiting to get into the event..... But Funfest maybe just as bad as far as traffic.

I will be there with the Grand Sport Registry. Look for a 96 GS Roadster with a white hard top.
