View Full Version : Getting kicked off forum after logging in
WARP TEN

I know we have had problems with this forum but I am getting a bit annoyed. When I log in and it says "Thank you for logging in Warp Ten" I figure I am ok for a session. Not so. When I open a thread I notice that it says I am no longer logged in. Can't look at pictures, post etc.. Sometimes if I go back to the main forums listing it says I am logged in, but if I try a thread again I am no longer logged in. Baffling. Today I have logged in several times, only to be no longer logged in if I try a thread. Or maybe I can get through part of the thread then I am out. Any explanations for this? Is it my computer getting buggy? When I just tried to post this I was logged out and had to write it again.--Bob

Bob,
Some new algorithms were incorporated into the web code which detects
FORMER ZR-1 owners who have recently unceremoniously dumped their
lovely 95 Polo Green ZR-1s for non-DOHC vehicles like a red C7Z06.
When that happens some privileges are disabled.

I never log out either on here (laptop) or my phone or tablet. And I haven't had the issues you describe.. I have my stuff save all my passwords for everything except bank sites or paypal etc...

I am having the same issues as Bob. Sometimes it logs me out right after I log in, but other times I can read a whole thread or two then when I go to another one, I notice I'm logged out. Seems kind of random. This never happened until after those forum problems were fixed.
I've just been living with it, but it is very annoying.

I assume those with problems have logged out then cleared the cookies for the site stored by the browser and then logged in again?

I knew that must be it. I am however, grateful that this penalty didn't apply when we were down sampling Keith's Black Dog Distillery offerings....And for the record, I signed in this morning, read Dom's post on this thread, and when I went to reply to it--I was signed off. Had to sign in again to do my reply. -Bob

The web code also detects any intent to be critical of my posts.

I wonder if it is a cookies issue. Oftentimes people restrict cookies (and often for good reasons), and therefore a web site is not able to update them with information that makes the site work better. Just a guess ...

And to respond to a couple of the posts--my browser is set to clear history and cookies every time I close it. However, the other Corvette/Stingray forums that I visit regularly never has this problem. --Bob

Does the same penalty apply to my trade of Barney for a DOHC V6 twin-turbo Cadillac?
