Moving toward my upgrade with a '93 spec crate and a reman black label ZF. Had these parts on the shelf for about 10 years as spares while the rebuild/replace decision shook out. Time to move the spares as the decision has been made.
NOS TB with IAC and TPS.....asking $450 delivered and insured
NOS Engine Harness for 1991 originally obtained from KWR. Has the correct 0870 green tag on the loom near the bulkhead entry.
It's faint, but it's there........asking $550 delivered and insured.
And the DUNN's.......Bought these from CA around '05.
Left info: Head 10125929
Casting date 10/4/92
Cam cover 10225119
Cam cover stamping on end 9475
Right info: Head 10125928
Casting date 6/19/92
Cam cover 10106166
Cam cover stamping on end 9658
Full disclosure.......I have several issues. I cannot match these casting numbers on the heads with any of the public data, either on the Registry or elsewhere.?? I see no match marks on the end that match the covers to the heads as I have seen referenced. Heads are bare except for valves and springs and secondary butterfly mechanism. The big issue is that a Damp-Rid bucket leaked on the left head and roughed-up the left can cover and 2 of the left secondary butterfly's. I believe the gasket surface interfaces are good, but I have not done any major cleanup as these will require a complete rebuild. Not an expert at this, but the intakes I think indicate first design DUNN with some light blending. Note to self........keep the Damp-Rid on the bottom shelf.
Asking $1,350 for the pair, plus shipping. Would do a 1/2 way meet anywhere mid-south/southeast and deliver. Preferable to packing and shipping. If overpriced, go easy on me......already taking a hit. Regards/ Jim53515352535353545355. Maxed out the uploads. Will post more head pictures tonight./Jim

Do the four numbers stamped on rear end of the head and cam cover match like in this example?

I will look again, but my initial response is that I saw no 4-digit stamped numbers on either end of either block casting. There were some individual stamped numbers or letters. Walking out to the back 40 now. Will advise. /Jim

Negative on any 4-digit matching number on the block. There is a " DUNN 21
7 A " stamp on the left head. Pics.......I'll do better in daylight. Any thoughts on the casting numbers? /Jim

Appreciate the casting numbers. Confirms that I haven't totally lost it. So we have a pair of Dunn's with -928 and -929 casting numbers that don't match any known Dunn numbers...........Open for suggestions. Regards, Jim

Thanks to Phil for confirming my search for the casting numbers match was correct........there are no known DUNN's with the -928/-929 casting numbers. Apologizies to the Forum, the head discussion probably should be elsewhere, but they are for sale so request we let it ride for now. Cleaned the back end of the heads.
Left: No match stamp on the casting to the 9475 can cover
A "B and a "G" stamped on the machined flat between the pipe plugs.
On the right lower quadrant of the picture:
DUNN
21
7A
Right: No stamp on the head casting to match the 9658 can cover.
"B" and "G" again stamped on the flat.
Lower right quadrant (upside down)
DUNN
20
7D
No other stampings around either head, only the casting numbers and the casting dates as listed above.
If anyone has Dunn's with -928/929 casting numbers, please advise. Based on the date codes............could these be prototypes?53635364

Does the passenger side (the one with oil fill) head have a triangular shaped tensioner cover with with 3 bolts and a center plug like this one on Jerry's site?

Got the flange but no cover plate. More well-deserved business for Jerry. Bolt holes are about 10/2/7 layout.
Purchased from a private seller in LA that I did probably 3 deals with around '05, including the reman correct black label ZF. I joined the Registry around the same time +/-. As I remember he did know the difference between "quiet gears or strong gears" on the ZF, so I tend to think he was involved with ZR1's. Not that that helps........I'll have to dig through PPW or email archives to see if I still have a good name/contact number, but I don't feel lucky.5365
Sorry for the picture quality.....carried the heads back into the cave.

My traceability has gone cold after 10+ years and a move and 3 computers on my part. Too many unresolved issues as stated in the thread. My rehab thought is have a lab verify the cam bore alignment, use some cam journal blanks and Plastigage to check the cam journal clearance so as to maintain oil pressure, and do a full Monte porting job along with secondary removal. Other places for $'s right now as I'm eyeing the crate job. I do have difficulty with the thought that Dunn cast 2 heads with unique casting numbers, and they are Dunn configuration, so I will simply ask whenever anyone is under the hood that if you have a 928 or 929 casting number please let me know. We'll all get a star named after us. So for now, I'll pull the heads off the table unless hear otherwise. I did however note the issues in my opening thread.
TB and harness open until 7/16. Thanks.
