Just a suggestion, but it may help if we post comments on this article to show the activity and interest level the LT-5 has for people who will read this article.
I went ahead and commented.

Great idea....we know how Beastly our Beast can be. Over time things get forgotten, but I'll shout from the mountain top everytime!

Well written and concise.

A reprint would be a good addition to help explain the ZR-1 in a show display.

In my opinion one of the few cars that came and went before everyones eyes. Before the fast and furious era boom of the aftermarket, before social media and the in the early days of the internet and in poor economic times. All reasons why in my opinion this car remains pretty much a mystery to most enthusiasts especially the younger generations.

All the more fun for me to pop the hood and show them what it can do :)

You may be right (about the younger generation), but that hasn't been the reaction I've noticed at car shows I've attended. It's the younger crowd that spies the Z - the LT5 in particular and reacts with excitement (and stopping to take pictures and call friends over to see it).

The new breed of car nuts seem to be much better versed on DOHC and electronic FI than the older muscle car crowd. At least that's been my impression.

Have to agree w Paul. The oldies walk around the car, look at the motor and just walk away sometimes shaking their heads. They don't get it. There's no carburetor or distributor.
