Hi All: Tripler and I would like to take our 95 to Carlisle this year. It will be our first time. Looking for info on Net Reg. involvement, where people stay, when people normally arrive (i.e. day before, 2 days before), etc. etc. Looking forward to it - Riviera

When you register, register with the zr-1 net registry, we all park together in whatever section we're assigned. The show starts thursday this year which is a change. I generally drive up the day before, hit the show field and bs with anyone around. Get there early in the morning, traffic gets bad and I know my car hates sitting in traffic. Leave late for the same reason. Food is usually provided at the tent, amazing pulled pork for the last few years. If that doesn't float your boat, food at the event is cheap at certain booths. The last few years we haven't done a club hotel which I'm not a fan of, maybe we can get that going again this year

Just book anything. You can always cancel if the club books a block somewhere.

I need to pick a hotel but I've waited too long and they're all 180$/night now.

All signed up, hotel booked and go karts sound great. Perfected the BBQ pulled pork this weekend for the neighborhood. I think it will be a hit for our gang at Carlisle.

Newbie Corvette show guy here.....I just got an email from Mark Horner about Carlisle. And seeing how they are going to pick a few of our Beast to go under the maintenance tent, I'm VERY interested lol.......But I had a few questions first before I drive 13 hours.
1. Just how big is this event? My car doesn't agree with sitting still in summer traffic for an hour or so.
2. Will all the ZR-1s be parked together as a group?? Ive seen the infield, and that's A LOT of Corvettes!!
I have some work to do on the car before I travel 13 hours, but I really really really want to go!!

This is the largest corvette show in the world. If you get there early you don't have to worry about traffic. Mid day it's a clustercluck. Same with leaving, hang out at our tent, bs, wait for traffic to clear and head out. The movie is to go and rent a car for $30/day and leave the z at the field. We do park together as a group, when you register, register with the zr-1 net registry or whatever they have us as. We lost out on biggest club by one car last year, I'm not about to have that happen again. Food is provided at the tent and there should be some drinks there too. See if you can hook up with some of the FBI guys coming down and make the drive more enjoyable.

So leave the Z at the field for the duration and rent a going back and forth car? Anyone got some experience to share doing this? What is the security like at the field for overnight?

I just drive the Z back to the hotel every night. The hotel parking lot will look like a car show on its own. Go to the field early in the morning if you dont want to sit in traffic.

As many of us will be at the same hotel, just get a ride back and forth and leave your car if you want. Security is not an issue.

This is my plan. Assuming I can get a ride back to the field Sunday

This is what I normally do but seeing as it's the wife's birthday I'm considering renting a car just to run around with her at night

Maps been released. Looks like we have a nice plot of land but I worry it maybe too small...maybe we should look into getting signs made like the gs guys do.

Yeah, Kevin, in past years we have had the entire row, both sides and still didn't have enough parking. If I am reading this right this year we have half the row? Really?

We are in the same row as we were last year. In 2014 we were one row over and that row is shorter.
We have just past where the large display tent was last year. We didn't have many cars parked past the tent last year.
It will be important to monitor who is parking in our area as usual.

Signs. We need signs. We also need to pick a space to claim the end of and park cars there and leave them there and fill the rest in from there as well as people patrolling. Maybe c6 zr1s to the inside to provide a c4 front. May keep some interlopers out
