Is it possible to diagnose a lighting SRC on a 1990 ZR-1 without having a test tool? :???:

I did try the shorting for A and B on the ALDL terminal but did not work for thr SRC.

You need to jumper the A & C terminals with the key ON. The Service Ride Control light will flash code 12 three times, followed by any other trouble codes being flashed three times. My '90 just acted up, setting a code 33, indicating the left rear actuator motor had not found the limit stop during the self test. I pulled out the shock and found the nylon gear teeth on the actuator motor had disintegrated. Send me a note with your trouble codes if you don't have the factory manual, and I'll tell you what the code means.

It was the right front Acuator that had lost it's life.

Thanks Martin

You can get a new motor from www.shox.com for $270.00. This beats $600.00 list price from GM or $425.00 from GM Parts Direct. Bilstein had several hundred new motors made by the original manufacturer in west Germany.
