I have a 1990 z and both the ltpws lites on the dash work properly when the ignition is turned on and the system works correctly about half the time but sometimes the service light will come on and on occasion only the low tire pressure lite and occasionally both lights. (35 lbs in all four tires) These are 26 year old Goodyears and never been dismounted. When I do dismount them is there service I can perform on each sensor or are they not serviceable?

Same intermittent condition here. I'll investigate further once I dismount Goodyear GSC's for new Michelins, but I'm 90% sure I'll delete the sensors entirely. I routinely check tire pressure (33psi) as I let the car warm up.
Although the system functions properly, alerting to a problematic sensor, the LTPWS illumination is an annoyance to my otherwise fantastic driving experience.

Both my lights come on periodically, usually when I hit a bump. I installed a Dill TPMS that gives individual pressures and temps. So, the original sensors are no longer in the car. The lights still come on.
I got rid of my sensors when I switched back to the 90 wheels, no regrets at all. I check pressures pretty frequently, and I'd rather rely on my dial gauge than a problematic 26 year old system. I'm fairly certain they were the cause of a 70mph vibration I was getting too, much smoother on the new wheels and no sensors.

Today both lights came on together, usually it's just the Low Pressure that flickers occasionally with intermittent brightness. All tire sensors removed by prior owner, supposedly I should not see any lights being this is a 1990 car.
Do I have to resort to pulling the bulbs?
Is there anything else to check or unplug?
Can I alter the illumination to spell out something more pleasing, like ...."Your so good looking"
