Just bought a 1993 #330 today. It is Bloomington Gold and Top Flight certified. White with red. It will be parked next to 2012 #172 Centennial 1 of 5 with Machined Silver wheels instead of black. I will call them Salt and Pepper. Now for the wait for it to be delivered next week.

I will see if the seller will email some to me. It is incredible looking. I can see how it got the awards. Already telling myself to leave it alone and enjoy it as is.
Sounds like a really sweet ZR-1. Texas is the Land of Plenty when it comes to ZR-1's.

Good to see another Houston area member. Great car, have fun with it. If you decide to mod it Corey is a short drive away.

Hey 32,
Tell me more about Corey. Have certain things in mind but do not want to detract from the certifications it has. Also let me know if you around Houston so we can meet up sometime.

I am in Houston on the West side, West Houston Muscle is a pretty good car club with plenty of events, I have taken the Z to one or two of their events in the past.
About Corey Henderson, I would consider him the resident Texas expert on the LT-5 and C4 ZR-1s, also most things Bowtie related. Corey recently made me a set of Headers using the Jeal Jigs. So they are Jeal Headers but I call them Henderson headers, he also did a Dyno tune for me. I came out of that with 383 Hp to the wheels, and ran a 12.4 @115. Headers though would probably effect the certifications on your car. Internal work like porting I would not think would get the attention of the judges. If anyone can get you additional HP and keep your points intact I think Corey can. look up Henderson performance on youtube, I think there is video of the maroon Camaro he built for the Texas Mile. One thing to keep in mind is that Corey is a specialty shop, do not expect a quick turnaround. I found email to be a good tool for communicating with him. It's a nice drive over there and there Greune River Grill http://gruenerivergrill.com is a good pit stop thats real close to his shop. Drop Me a PM and we can go for cruise one day.

Thanks for the info! Definitely we can hook up for a cruise. Since I have not learned how to post pics here this other forum link has them:

That's the one. I waited until it got under 24hrs left and called the guy. We came to an agreement and he took the listing down. Doing paperwork on it now. This is taking me back to my early 20's when all I could do is dream about them.
Oh yeah, I am leaving it as is for now. Not sure I really want to change anything and ruin the documentation.

Good luck with that!! These cars seem to lure you in. You start out with the satisfaction of a 7,000 rpm rush, and then you here stories of how easy (Not cheap) it is to get more. I haven't really scratched that itch but have accumulated some parts. Soon, very soon.

What a nice white bleeder. Corey is a great guy. But, 32v is right. Don't get in a hurry 'cause he's not. But, it will be done right the first time. He's done a lot of work on my car and not once has there been an issue. And email is DEF the best way to reach him. Cool cat to know.
Hey, I'm in the process of planning a Texas ZR-1 gathering in the next couple of weeks. We'll meet on a Sat in Buffalo (on 45) at a park and just bring a cooler with food and drinks and we'll hang out and talk cars, eat, drink...maybe smoke some cigars if that's your thing. We'd love to meet you and see your car. We did it a couple of years ago and it was really nice relaxing day. Wife's are welcome and it's close enough to pretty much everyone to make it a day trip. Look under the Club Regional Areas of the forum under Southwest Region and I'll post the details. I'll also post on CF here shortly.
Hope to see you and your ride there.

Could be worse... U could live on Oahu. Speed limit for the entire island (when I was there last) was like 35mph!

I'll be there, Big John too, look me up up if ya decide to go.
How about some of you other NE ZR-1ers?

They just built a nice 6 lane highway a mile south of me. I can cruise down the 2 lane for 3 miles to get er warmed up, 2 left turns and I'm on the on ramp... And nice flat road with good vision and long range radar detector.. Love it. No need for the before 7 or after 11 deal on this road. Usually hit over 100 by the end of the on ramp lol... 5 miles and I can either flip around and do it again or just go on home. Made my "around the block" trips a whole lot more fun....:dancing

Not to hijack your thread, but your 2012 ZR1, with machine wheel is 1 of 5? I have a 2012 Centennial Edition Z06 with the machine wheel and was told it was one of ten cars with the machine wheel. I have not found any information to indicate whether or not the ten cars were all Z06's. I wonder if they did five ZR1's and five Z06's with the machine wheel for ten total.

Get mine done at Shell Rapid Lube on 1488 just West of 2978. No problems over last 5 years with 2 90's and a 93.
You mean inspected, right? Look at manufacture date on driver door. If its close to 25 years, wait. Only $6-$10. No smog test. My 93 passed smog easily.
