Goodyear dates

Just purchased a beautiful set of wheels and orginal Goodyears from Joe who had them in storage for 22 years. Are there date codes on these tires. If so, how do I find them and read them.

In an oval next to "DOT"

It might not be uncommon to find codes prior to year 2000 on the inner side-wall rather than the outer and very visible.

Also prior to 2000 the date codes will be 3 digit not 4

Thanks, they were only on the inside. The two rears were 1990 originals and one front was 1992 and he other 1994. They actually roll very well but boy do they spin easy. Lol. Just stomp on it in first at 20 mph and it comes unglued. Very hard rubber.
