I thought this might be good to have. As I look for a new exhaust I am trying to find out what it will sound like before dropping a lot of coin on an exhaust.

Engine: Stock
Exhaust: Stock with resonator delete, and Borla axleback

That's a good idea, we really need the description of the mods though (like you just did)!

The only problem with listening to a car idle or revving it up is, it is not the same as driving the car on the road at different rpm's.

I heard a Power Effects exhaust back in the late 90's. It sounded great.
So, I ordered one for my 94 LT1. I installed it and took the vette for a
20 min. drive. The resonance was unbearable. I took the exhaust off and
sent it back for a refund.

I bought a 90 ZR1 with an early B&B system. It sounded great at idle or
revving it up. Those of you who have had this system know what I mean
when I say it is loud and practically unbearable while driving.

The only true way to know what an exhaust system sounds like is to take
it for a test drive.

I have a couple of iPhone vids that I made with the phone sitting in the cup holder. Unfortunately, I don't have any way to host them. If anyone is interested just pm me an email addy and I'll send them over. The car has port work excluding the heads. Exhaust is SSW headers, random tech cats, and flowmaster cat-back.

Sounds like straight pipes, I would like to hear it at 7K :jawdrop:

BTW, I've tried it a couple of times with an iPhone 6+, and although I've got a very loud B&B system, it sounds so tame I didn't even post it.

Any ideas why??
