A few weeks back I picked up a small 3D printer and I've been learning how that world works. Drew up this guy tonight, thought I'd share.

It's not really to scale, I just googled the emblem for reference and took some liberties (shortcuts?) with how accurately to lay it out. Pretty close though, I suppose.

Anyone else here do any 3D printing?

I have one still trying to figure out the cad stuff. I have printed the goofy stuff that you find on thingverse . either way that is awesome.

Russell, what are you using as far as CAD software? I've been using Google Sketchup since it's free. It works pretty well, but sometimes I find it to be a bit limited depending on what I'm trying to do. A lot of that could be user error though...

There are some very nice software packages out there, but they're really expensive, and usually subscription based on top of that.

Honestly I haven't even tried any software yet. I did get a cheap 3d scanner to play with but haven't had the time to play with it. I will try the google sketchup and play with that.
